YES! ... Pink Delight is an excellent variety that's thriving up against the south side of the foundation of my home, the heat from the cement gives it the extra warmth it needs to make it through our long and cold winters ... besides, they break dormancy late and planted in such a position will help get them off to an earlier spring start. It is very IMPORTANT to plant these deeply with a good four or five inches of stem below ground and then to hill up very well in the late fall.

Wow Terry. That gives me hope that my pink delight buttfly bush will survive its first winter out here in Edmonton. How long have you had yours and when does it typically emerge in spring? Have you tried black knight or others? I also planted a black knight.

andres_zone3, I hope you had planted Pink Delight deeply and protected it for winter? If it doesn't make it, then don't give up, this variety is too impressive not to give another try, the flowers are huge!

I also have the variety called 'Bicolor' (see below link), the color is rather unique, though I much prefer Pink Delight. I also had 'Purple Emperor', now this one is really nice! ... though, had lost it due to a dumb mistake of mine, it's one I'd like to again obtain.
