Help with corner planting

Without obstructing the long narrow window (which is frequently opened in summer) IÂd like to place something interesting in this corner. Here I have already planted a Golden Shadows pagoda dogwood (what an awesome plant!), though from what IÂve read it can become of substantial size and will block the window, the tall green plant is a large flowered clematis. This area faces southeast, though is rather shaded by the nearby birch trees. I was thinking of a yellow cedar of some type, though IÂd like a less formal look, yet something that provides year round interest. The last thing I could possibly imagine is something like a big ole lilac  maybe, a spiral cedar topiary?  ah, na!  I donÂt know, lol Â
