I first saw the seeds for these on Seed Savers but I found them here at the Cottage Gardener. I always grow Candy onions, from Dams, but decided to try these to. I went ahead and ordered them and then found out SS had a crop failure. Guess I was lucky to get them. They are said to be white, solid, sweet and the best part is that they keep well. With both the Candy and the Australian Brown we should have a lot of onions here this winter. Has anyone ever tried growing the AB?

I just got my seeds from Southern Exposure Seed Exchange and sowed them today. I have never tried them before, and I would be interested in comparing our growing experiences after we harvest.

You're on! Just email me when you harvest yours. That way I'll remember to get back to you about my harvest. There is a grower in Alberta that also sells the seeds to. Not to sure if she gets them from Seed Savers or if she grows them with her other heirlooms. I'll look forward to hearing how you make out. Marg

Hi Marg. I'm putting a note on my calendar to email you after I harvest.
