Curious about Seeds Of Diversity

| I am a big fan of heirloom seeds and have been having some fun today shopping for seeds I haven't tried. I came across SOD and just peaked my curiousity. So I thought I would ask if anyone has experience with SOD and what is their thoughts on them.

Seeds of Diversity is a good organization for Canadians to belong to. They promote the saving of old heirloom seeds of many plants. At this time of year there are Seedy Saturdays and Seedy Sundays held across Canada. They also have a seed directory which lists small seed producers and what they offer. Caroline |

| I agree with Caroline. I purchased seeds from Heritage Harvest Seeds last year. (She's listed on the Seeds of Diversity website) She was recommended to me by an author of a book I bought. I even met the owner at a Seedy Saturday =:) If you're wondering about germination rates of her seeds, I'd never grown my own tomatoes from seed, and I had so many plants I had to give a lot of them away =:) |
