I find January the absolute worst month for a gardener. I've got all the seeds I ordered, started the begonias and perennials - now what? Ahh!! Taro Root!
After reading on Gardenweb somewhere about using grocery store Taro Roots instead of the more expensive Colocasia bulbs, I thought I would give it a try. I can't imagine I am the only one in the Far North forum to have given this a whirl! lol I am wondering how tall these will get and the leaf size, and were they worth trying? Also, does anyone know where to get Alocasia (the big monsters) bulbs in Canada, particularly if there is somewhere in Calgary? Botanus only has Colocasia.
Hey, tomorrow is February, we are making progress! Thanks all.
Joanne
