Potatoes

Help - has anyone ever grown potatoes in a container? I'm thinking of putting a couple of Yukon gold potatoes into a pot this year - they got all scabby at the acreage where I've been able to plant potatoes the past few years. I'm going to switch to caribe there but love the taste of Yukon gold and don't really have much space for in ground planting at my condo.

Thanks in advance for any advise

Fern

RE: Potatoes

Try filling the barrels half full of good soil, then place your seed potatoes on top of the dirt , then fill the tub up with either mulch or hay then at the end of the season you remove the mulch and the potatoes are on top of the dirt.
