'Fandango' Dianthus

Every fall I vow to myself I will not buy seeds off the rack - yeh right! This year however I did restrain myself and bought only one pkg - Fandango dianthus. It is described as a fragrant, semidouble annual. The flowers look like they are a rose purple with a darker center. Has anyone ever grown this? Marg

I haven't grown it, but I've not yet met a Dianthus I haven't loved. I googled - it looks beautiful. And fragrant to boot, nice :)

I'm looking forward to having it in my garden. I just hope the weather is drier than last year so I can collect some seeds! I kept some back just in case.

I myself ordered two different Fandango dianthus seeds for this spring. Purple Picotte and Crimson. They started really well and I personally can't wait for them to bloom.
