I think cuttings should work for you.
But be prepared to see suckers come up when tree grows older and
sucking most of the water out of the ground up to 50 feet.
Not something I would plant.

Thanks Konrad, You wont beleive this ,but I planted several poplars on my septic feild ,and would plant the swedish aspen near it also.The more water they suck out of the ground ,the better .lol. As for suckers I'd love them.I want to fill my back yard with all kinds of trees kinda like a forest.Of coarse to many suckers would be a bit of a nusience,but I cut them down by mowing.

Looks like you have lots of room...sure, then go for it.
Don't forget, pussy willow bushes are good for low ground too, it serves
for good pollen source and little nectar for bees , the yellow warblers
like to hang around in there among other birds to take shelter and nesting places.
I have lots of poplar and still cutting some down, getting more spruce
in there.
