Our creek still has a foot of snow on it! But it got up to +12 today and was beautiful out. There are even a couple of bare spots - not many, mind you, and it's supposed to be colder for the next week. :(

We're still frozen up, covered in snow, etc. The river gets chopped up in February with an amphibex machine so it's sort of anticlimactic in terms of break-up. It's supposed to help prevent ice jams in exactly this type of year, when we're still frozen solid but the water is coming in from Minnesota creating flooding. Nothing's moving out there yet though.

I see a lot of the creeks getting wet on top, but that's still over lots of ice. No open flowing water yet, but that's soon gotta change.
