Honeysuckle

I have a honeysuckle (Lonicera Tatarica Rosea) shrub which is in a long mixed perennial/shrub border. It has grown way too tall and I would like to reduce the size. Does anyone know how to prune this shrub--would I do it like a lilac and do it by thirds for three years or could I just cut it back to the height I would like it? It is about 7-8 ft high and I would like at least a couple of feet or more off of it in height.

Thanks for any answers!
