Last year we bought about 12 of them, planning to make a spring flowering hedge out of them. We left about 10' between each one. Hope that was enough room, wasn't to sure how fast they grow. I love the yellow color in spring and the nice green foliage after that. I also do not want to prune them into a 'light bulb' that I see a lot. The thing is, this winter we got a lot of snow. There are a lot of broken branches. I've done some checking and some people say to prune them in the spring. How early should you prune? This year I'm only planning to cut off the broken branches, but it will be good to know in following years. How often do you need to prune? Any advice about growing these? Marg
