I'm sure i've seen it on some of my things in the past, and i don't think it will be harmful. You could remove it if you want, though.

There sure is a lot of snow mold everywhere this year. I know with lawns once you rake it off the lawn is totally fine so I'm guessing it would be the same with perennials. My daughter is allergic to it so she has had a rough spring so far with her allergies and asthma, can't wait for it to be gone.

My dog ate some before I could stop him. He usually throws up when he eats something that upstes his stomach so I kept him outside for a while. After I took him in, he did throw up. Glad he did it iside because if he had done it outside I never would have seen what was in it, it was full of worms. Took him to the vet and he's just fine.

I've discovered snow mold on a fair amount of the perennials that aren't still under snow , and also all over the base of my two rose bushes.

Ewww on the dog! LOL One time I was picking up poop and I thought one was full of worms but it turned out the dumb dog got ahold of the elastic net from a roast and ate it, then pooped it out. :S I know you so wanted to hear that story, LOL.

I have no idea how snow mold affects perennials but my parents get it on their lawn really badly some years and the grass takes a lot longer to grow in in those patches. Not to scare everyone...
