Maybe someone else can give you a better answer, but if it's just from compost I don't think you could make the brew strong enough to damage a plant. You can put compost directly on a plant and it won't hurt it, so I can't see how a tea made from it could be any different.

We made them at our Hort. club one year and that's all we did - regular sized watering can and just used the resulting "tea". I don't remember if it made a big difference to the plants.

If you do a google search "Doug Green Compost Tea" you might get enough information from him. I've seen his videos on making compost tea, but it was long ago. Let us know what you think of the compost tea bags. I may need some :)

I think Marcia is right. They sell them at Amazon and it indicates that one single use tea bag is good for 1-2 gallons.

It looks like you got a good deal. Amazon sells them for $10.99 for 4 tea bags. I looks like you got 12 for $9.99 :)

Thanks everyone... I think I'll try brewing a small container this weekend. I've use a diluted seaweed fertilizer a few times this yr so I'm curious to see what difference the tea with make.
