Irises Sitting in Really Wet Spring Muck

My poor irises. =:(

They've managed to survive in their spot for probably 25-30 years, but I'm not sure they'll make it this year.

One bunch of them is sitting in water logged muck that I've been removing standing water from. Parts of the soil look like what I used to use for mud pies when I was a kid.

Should I leave them there and hope for the best, or should I try to dig them out and put them in a pot with potting soil? Then once everything else thaws out in a month and a half or so, I could either put them back where they were, or find a spot for them elsewhere.

Opinions??
