over wintering Four O'clock tubers

This is the third year I have tried to store mine but they always look like shrivelled, dry carrots when I pull them out. They were stored in my cold room. I was told to store them in vermiculite and they would be good to go but still they don't look like much. I don't know if I should pot these up and take a chance on them or toss them. Anybody ever successfully overwinter them? How did you do it? Thanks. Marg

I always overwinter mine. Just pot them up, they will come.
I have to look for mine, good thing you reminded me.

I've been overwintering mine in a mixture of peat and vermiculite in large ziploc bags - I leave the top of the bag mostly open. They start sending out shoots around March - April and patiently wait until I can get around to putting them in pots (and then transplanting them outdoors).

I stored them in vermiculite in my cold room. They were looking rather 'dead' but I decided to pot them up and hope for the best. I ended up with 4 pots of them. There were no shoots on them but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for the advice. Marg
