Carmen Jewel from seed ?

| I read on a posting some time ago that Carmen Jewel comes true from seed but Evans doesn't. The thread escapes my searches. Can someone confirm this?
I put some Carmen Jewel seeds in the ground last fall and they are coming up. Am I wasting my time? I would like fruit not just a decorative tree.

| Carmine Jewel is a hybrid cherry. It is a cross between a sour cherry and the Mongolian cherry bush. Its offspring should revert back to characteristics of the parents, not produce another Carmine Jewel. |

| The developer of Carmine Jewel said that he thought that about 75% of the plants grown from Carmine Jewel seed should produce fruit like the parent. |

| There's only one way to find out. I just have to find room to grow them. |
