Dwarf Mugo Pine vs Little Giant Cedar

We planted 2 dwarf Mugo Pines 3 years ago near the house, and facing West. They get afternoon sun but are partially shaded sometimes during that period. They're finally sprouting candles for the first time. Oh, and they're only about 2 feet around and less than 2 feet high.

Someone, who is supposed to be an expert, suggested I dig them up, put them in a sunnier spot, and plant Little Giant Cedars instead.

Any opinions? Would I be risking killing the pines moving them? Do you think the cedars would do better? I love evergreens, so it doesn't really make much difference to me, as long as I have green there all of the time =:)
