Hakonechloa grass in my zone?

I've always seen this grass recommended for shady areas. They have the variegated one at the local Extra Foods this week. Is anyone in zone 2 or 3 successfully growing it? I really want it, but I'm trying to be sensible, lol.

Funny you mention that grass, I just saw some of it today at one of the local greenhouses. They have it in their 'annual' section (along with Lime Ricky Heuchera). I think it would be really nice in a shade planter with maybe begonias & impatients? It seems such a shame treating (otherwise) perennials as annuals but I guess that just a reality we northerners have to face. Hmmmm... time for a trip to Extra Foods!

Shouldn't Lime Ricky Heuchera be hardy..even here? Sorry to take this off topic..(my two cents on this OG is that it definitely won't survive in Manitoba!! Isn't it zone 5?)

OK, thanks. I've decided leave it on the shelf. I'm sure I'll find something else to spend my money on, lol.
