spruce transplant

Is it to late to transplant a 3ft spruce tree this spring.
It is a beautiful tree and I would hate to lose it at this point
I live in central Saskatchewan

Timing is good as long as buds have not yet broken into advanced growth and you dig as much of the root system as possible ...

Agree..
White spruce is budding out now and could be touchy, Colorado Spruce
are about 2 weeks later and these are my favored, only because of
this, I had some years were my white spruce new buds froze and stunted the tree.
