Greenhouse Roof Vent Question

thirsty_dirt_77

Last year was the first year with a greenhouse and it was more challenging then expected - the issue, trying to keep it from getting too hot.

This year we're adding a low pressure irrigation system that has regular drippers and misters that will be on a timer to hopefully that will help.

We currently have several vents but none on the roof. We live in a windy area and in the summer we get some severe thunder storms that roll thru and my hubby is convinced that the traditional style greenhouse vents would not be able to survive the winds.

So what traditional house roof vents? Any thoughts on putting at least one, if not two rotary tribune roof vents on the greenhouse? During the cooler seasons I could rig up something to block them so they won't vent.

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!
