30 roses in pots - overwintering in garage

I've decided to pot my new roses (we are in a new house now) in pots because the roots and rocks make it too difficult to dig holes and because I like the roses up higher.

My question is that it's a lot of roses to take in and out of the garage every day in the spring next year. Should I put dark garbage bags over the roses so they don't start new growth too early and then when the weather is permanently warm enough for the roses take them out. How can I work it so I don't have spindly growth starting in the garage, before I can get them all outside with good night time temperatures?

Thanks!!

Carol

Do you have a dollarama near you. I bought some wheeled plant saucers there for a buck. Look at yard sales I also got a small dolly there that I use for moving heavy stuff.
