If you dig it now in leaf, it will have a hard time.....12 feet is pretty good
and will cover up the house well...nothing wrong with a glimpse of a nice
pale stucco....good contrast!
I think these two trees are going to look nice,.. good Joice!

I agree with Konrad, don't dig them up just to move them 2 feet. They will probably fill that space nicely within a couple of years.

We have two Schubart Chokecherries 12 feet apart in our back yard. They were planted in 2004. They have a space approximately 4-5 feet apart for most of the branches, although a few are closer together. They obscure a lot of the neighbour's house, but don't even come close to blocking the view in between them. I planted a juniper in between them about 3 feet further from the fence than they are.

How tall will your dogwood get? I wouldn't have it planted straight in line with the other two. If it doesn't get really tall, you will be seeing a fairly big chunk of your neighbours' house for quite a few years still. Do you suppose they'll plant a few trees?

Your chokecherries will likely sucker, depending on the variety. They are also suseptible to the fungus (don't remember what it's called) that looks like a dog pooped on the branches of your trees. Watch for it, particularly in the spring and fall, as it's kind of hard to detect with the dark leaves. You have to cut it off about a foot further along the branch and disinfct your cutters each cut or it spreads even faster.
