Odyssey Apples

Has anyone tried this apple? I was at Greenland Nursery today looking for a Norland but the one they had was too big and in a huge pot. I can not fit that into my vehicle or even carry it or dig a whole that big. Then I saw an Odyssey which had all the right criteria.It's new at Greenland but I thought I wud try it.Has sweet fruit that ripens fairly early and is hardy to -40c. I just hope it will turn out as good as it sounds.

I don't grow this one,...it's worth a try. It might be borderline in ripening, it say's mid September. Norland is beginning of August.
Norkent, [late] is ripening earlier then Odyssey, for me, sometimes it has a little frost before I pick them.

I saw an Odyssey apple on dwarfing rootstock this year. If you like Gala apples and think you can get it to ripen try it.
