My poor asparagus bed is loaded with weeds. I guess there's been some asparagus in there but i couldn't find it. :( Will look again, though. However, i had a couple of radishes yesterday and green onions are ready too.

I grow chives so they're always first. I've got a couple of flowers on a pea plant, that's as far as the rest of the garden has gotten.

I have asparagus, spinach, chard and lettuce. The lettuce was winter sown because I like it early. The radishes will be ready soon tho. I think some of the seeds may have rotted because of all the rain we have had lately. This week we're only having 1 rain free day! Marg

I have had a couple of feeding of asparagus. yummy, had a radish too. Can't wait for more. I really need to move my asparagus patch, too many thistles, and not big enough. C

I used some greens to make a salad yesterday...choho is a new one I am liking, spinich and some curly red lettuce. Everything was so tender and yummy!

I can use lettuce now; wish I could cut asparagus, but it's only one year old, and late coming up.

Not right now because I've pulled all the cool weather crops out, apart from some peas. In mid-late May, I was able to harvest radishes, spinach, parmex carrots, a few peas, bok choy and gai lan. I planted them all (except the radishes) in late March into an unheated greenhouse. That greenhouse was as cold as outside at night. Outside, I planted them in mid-April and they were harvestable (except peas) in early June. Some of these plants are tough and will tolerate freezes down to -10 Celsius if they are direct-sown. Last week, I planted eggplant and squash in their place. Fingers crossed!
