Why are the young leaves of Showy Mountain Ash turning yellow?

Over the last couple of days, I noticed that a few young leaves at the tip of the branches of my Showy Mountain Ash just turned yellow. They look wilted too. This tree was just planted last year and it has taken forever for it to leaf out this spring.

Is it because of the excessive rain that we had last week? Or is it due to some disease? I hope it's not the latter!

The tree is situated in the southeast corner of my yard (so it has a northwest exposure). Despite the fact that it is in the lower area of my yard where it collects water, it does slope off into the swale at the back, so hopefully the drainage is sufficient...

HELP!
