I bought some Asiatic star gazer lily bulbs at Home Depot...is it too late to plant them?

Fillagirl, as far as I know, Stargazer is an Oriental Lily not an Asiatic but I would still plant it as soon as possible. Here in my zone 3 garden, Orientals don't do that well unless I plant them on the south side fairly close to the house. They always flower later in the year, usually in August. Stan

Hi Stan, thanks for your reply. I checked the label and you're right, they are Oriental, not Asiatic. Thanks for the info on placement, I will give it a whirl. Fillagirl

I have a stargazer lily. I moved it to several locations and it never did much of anything, before I put it on the south side of my house. It loves it there, It may not flower for a year or 2 but it will flower. I'd post a picture of mine but I don't know how it's done on this site. There is no place to add attachments
