It's usually just the main page. I try not to mouse over any ads, but the whole page slides up and down as it loads, and then i've been getting that stupid message about closing the tab. Really annoying.

Marcia - I get the same thing when opening any of the Canadian forums - something tells me it's hi-jacked by an advertiser or spam site.

I've gotten a virus page here before but this isn't the same as that one - it was the one where the page comes up and it looks like it's analyzing your computer and tells you that your computer is infected and to click here (to infect it for real!). I've only gotten this one here at the Far North forum.

I think the sliding up and down is the banner ad at the top getting bigger and smaller on its own. Drives me nuts. I used to go through the Gardenweb main page and I would aim for Far North and end up getting Edible Landscape. Now I just have Far North bookmarked and come straight here.

I have Far North bookmarked too. I guess it must be the banner ad, but i wonder about the thing saying that something's trying to close this tab.

Oh well, if it goes away on its own, i won't worry about it. But i hate the jumping around!! >:(

I set up a separate file for Garden Web and have six of my favourite forums in it, and the computer just opens them all at the same time if I want.

Yes, i got that virus page at several different locations - it seemed to make its rounds.
