Can I Plant Daylilies in a Lasagna Bed?

Good Morning All !

Rain rain go away

We've had enough for many a day.......

So, we managed to dig up a patch for my new daylilies. We dug down about 6 inches and then I did the lasagna thing. The cardboard will be about 8 inches under.

About how long will it take for the cardboard to break down? How deep do daylily roots go? Will the cardboard break down enough before the daylily roots want to take up more space? Half of what I plant will probably be moved next month. I hope that won't kill them.
