Juniper question

Hi all,

I'm asking this question on behalf of my sister. She lives on an acreage. She has a little bridge that she was planning to do a planting around. The area is in full sun, but upon digging she discovered that the holes filled with water. The soil is very sandy though, and we have had several substantial rainfalls in the last couple of weeks so I don't know if the water would be consistent all the time. There is also a slight slope, so drainage should be good.....

Anyway, the question: Does that sound like conditions conducive to success with junipers? She also bought a nest spruce. I have a nest spruce growing in quite a damp spot and it is thriving.

She is now wondering if she should reconsider her whole plan. She already purchased the junipers, though.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.
