Lysimachia clethroides

I just bought a Lysimachia clethroides, THEN looked up the info on it! Everything I read was from much warmer zones. They said it was invasive and should be surrounded by some kind of barrier to keep it in check. I was wondering if anyone grew it, and if they found it invasive? It is suppose to be a gorgeous plant and I would like to plant it in my yard, so need to know how to treat it. Would the plastic edging keep it in check or would I need a bottomless container? Thanks for any info you might have!
