I've been grown buddleia next to the foundation of my home where it has thrived ... though, I've never attempted it in the open garden. My favorite variety is 'Pink Delight' ... though, unfortunately, this year it's doing poorly and I'll have to take a cutting to get a new plant going.

Thanks for the info, I might try it. I don't think I'll have to worry about the "invasive, aggressive" notation included in its description.

if you have moose, you might as well forget buddleia... deer family critters find it ESPECIALLY delicious. in cold climates, budeleia dies back to the ground in winter so in spring all those lucious green sprigs are too delicious for them to bypass.
