Soaker hose problems

So I bought a 50 ft. soaker hose from Lee Valley this spring to use in one of my veggie beds that has the most to water in it. I got the suggested 25 psi regulator and also a T filter that keeps out all the small particles, because we have well water and it is full of junk.

This is the first time I've used it, so the screen definitely isn't plugged yet. Anyway, I hooked it up to my hose and turned it on, and it worked great...for the first 35 ft or so. Then the pressure gradually drops off until there is nearly nothing dripping out of the last 15 ft. What am I doing wrong? I thought the pressure regulator was supposed to allow the right amount of pressure to flow so that the whole length of hose watered equally? *sigh* I guess I'll have to keep using the watering can for now...
