Missing Post about my Lettuce

My last post went missing.........

I'm wondering how much sun my romaine lettuce needs. It's finally growing now that it's not raining.

If I leave it in the sun from, say, about 7-11 a.m., and then move it into the shade out of the extreme heat, will that be all right?

I also grow romaine in a container and mine gets morning sun, then filtered shade in the afternoon and does quite well.

I like to put a crushed rock mulch around my lettuce - keeps the leaves so much cleaner and keeps even moisture instead of that real wet, real dry merry-go-round.

Good idea Pudge. I'm pretty sure I have some small stones I could use.

I have my lettuce in an old stainless steel kitchen sink. =:)

I gave my lettuce some weak fish emulsion this morning. I hope it won't end up tasting like fish ! I'm thinking I should have tried it on only half of it.....
