That's a new one on me. It will be interesting if the new flowers actually set fruit -- there could still be enough time to grow and ripen a crop of cherries. Plums would never make it before frost though.

I wonder if the late blooming will delay the tree when it comes time to harden off for the winter?

Sometimes fruit trees flower late due to stress or winter damage, most without fruit set if you need a pollenizer, Evans can set, I have this happening most every year with much winter damage, ...makes a long harvest season.

Maybe you should post Konrad's pic ....................if that is not proof I don't know what is.
