Mayday Tree question

Has anyone ever heard of a mayday tree starting to grow red leaves. The tree has been planted for about 6 or 7 years and never had red leaves before. (not fall leaves)

They are just about done leaves are starting to change here and the air is crispier at night. Hoping for a nice Sept as I don't think we have had more than 5 days in a row without rain all summer. Not one dry weekend since the middle of May I hope we get one local camping weekend before Oct. It is a good thing we went to Penticton for 10 days.

So everyone would a pic help with this dilema?

So I went and had a look at the tree it looks like fall leaves to me but she swears they sprouted that colour. Could it be wind damaged little branches not getting enough nutrients?

CLB it is doubful in your moderate climate that wind could have an effect. Consider looking at voles.

Thanks is appreciated...TIA
