dividing Daylilies this time of year?

I've been so busy this year, that I just never got around to dividing alot of things - especially my daylilies. Would this be considered to late to do this? and if I did, do you cut the foliage off now or leave it?

Would you move a huge Globe thistle now or wait till spring?

How about Hosta's?

Sorry! LOLS...guess more than just daylilies in this subject!

I need to move some too. I want to wait for them to finish blooming, but by then it will be Sept! :0 Maybe I will wait for spring. See what the experts say. Experts??
