Marguarita Sweet Potato Vine

Hi all, I have a question. I rescued two very small, very dry sweet potato vines from CT. I was going to try and over winter them in the house and propagate them for next year. Question, how do I propagate them? Do I take cutting and root them in water, or use rooting hormone, or root cuttings? Help, always wanted them in my pots but was not willing to pay the outrageous prices for these stuffers. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks Cheryl

I think you can take cuttings. Don't quote me on that, but i'm pretty sure i did it one winter.

They are really easy to root. Stem cuttings in water or damp soil will root fine. My town has done the town landscaping with Margarita SPVs and purple petunias this year, it looks great!

They root great either way, but I just put them in water, because I can see the roots and know when they really will be ready to plant.
