Climbing Hydrangea

Anyone growing this? Mine is three years old and is growing but sowly. Am wondering how long before I might have blooms. I keep it fenced from the deer and don't give it winter protection.

RE: Climbing Hydrangea

I've had the variegated variety 'Firefly' for three years now, I've kept this very slow grower potted and it's only now beginning to fill out, though I can't say as if I've been very excited over the appearance of the variegated foliage. I've never heard of anyone successfully going this vine in zone 3, I've certainly never seen one for myself in Alberta, though maybe someone can prove me wrong? I intend to grow it as a groundcover where it can be kept protected under a blanket of snow
