Farmer's Market Green Beans

I was at a farmer's market this afternoon and was delighted to see green beans because of only producing 10 beans of my own.

Even though it's late in the season, they looked pretty good. However, I was wearing dark sunglasses at the time. I should have known better.

When I got them home, I discovered that most of them have small rust colored spots on them.

Bacteria, virus, blight ???

I assume they're still edible, but not entirely sure......

Thanks!

Not sure what it is, but if it isn't too bad, just wash them and eat them. Sometime if a bean or three has too much on it, i'll scrape it off. Haven't died yet!

The stuff on these won't wash off or scrape off.

I guess I'll go through them, pick out the best ones, and pitch the rest. Some aren't too appetizing looking.

Oh well.........if I get more than 10 it'll beat my harvest, LOL!
