| Just wondering if any of you can help me ID this plant. I got it from my mom, who picked it up from a plant sale earlier this summer. It hasn't flowered yet. It was labeled 'Angelica', but the leaves aren't like any angelicas I've ever seen.
Any ideas?

| Looks to me like common garden angelica, commonly called wild celery. Maybe?? Ginny |

| I think I have the same plant, it shoots up a flower stock 4-5' that has clusters of little pinkish white flowers. Any thoughts? I got mine at the farmers market years ago and always ment to write down the name but never did and now I can't remember. I can try and post pics later if that would help. Cheryl |

| Thanks! I think it may be the common garden angelica, I guess we'll know for sure next year if it flowers. I just wanted to be sure that it wasn't something really 'spready' because I know a lot of the plants at plants sales are. Spreading by seed, well, that I can live with, but after having done battle with goutweed, I'm not allowing any more root spreaders into my garden!! |
