Most people in our area use Plantskydd (which I wish I had remembered to apply to my blueberry bushes before 2 mooose camped out in my yard last week!) I've never wanted to spray it on my plants, but got this idea from our daughter's in-laws...put a sponge soaked in whatever repellent you are using in a suet cage. Keep your repellent in a spray bottle and just respray the sponge when needed. It seemed to work in their garden. I haven't tried it yet, myself.

I bought some this fall to protect the younger trees and cedars and junipers from the deer this winter at our lake cabin.. I finally had time to apply it this afternoon. I didn't spray it because of the temperature. I just made up a pailful of the stuff and dribbled and wiped it on with a sponge as best I could. We also wrapped deer fencing around a few of the upright junipers and one wareana cedar. The cedar had every bit of green eaten off of it last year but it is still alive had and started to regrow this past summer so I am giving it another chance.
Anyway, the Bobbex just reeks. Really disgusting, so I hope the deer think so too.
