I saw 2 of them today. The first was a rainbow around the sun. It wasn't really strongly colored but you could see it. The other thing was first heard before seen, I heard a crow making a racket. I turned to see what was tormenting it (around here it always turns out to be starlings or some smaller bird) but it was ...... a snow owl. When I looked up to see it flying overhead, it almost seemed transparent! It just kept looking at the crow as if to say 'quit bugging me!'. Why do these things always happen when you don't have your camera? I was wondering why they are this far south but then maybe they heard about the vole population, LOL. Marg
