Is there one plant that has it all...interesting foliage, beautiful, fragrant flowers with a long bloom time, perennial, low mainanance etc etc...

Rose Of Sharon (Althea) is great for the Houston climate. When ewell established it needs little water or attention. It blooms in the late summer and can be used as a hedge or fence. I refer to it as a wall of flowers.
