I use standard 13-13-13 and then super phosphate when I have blooms. Also, this year I have started using the Hooker formula on my prebloom daylilies, and since it has such great stuff in it have been putting it on other flowering plants, as well. Also, about mid summer, I try to sprinkle a little Epsom salt around non-potted plants (ones in the ground). On my potted plants, I use either the Peters (20-20-20) or Miracle Gro (15-30-15).

i , too, like osmocote--but if you're growing vegetables( too old to call them "veggies")try the specialty fertilizers from gardens alive. makes tomatoes taste sooo- good

I don't know if it is sold nationally but I use Espoma products, i.e. Hollytone, Flowertone, Gardentone, etc. They are organic and my plants love them.

Homemade compost. It improves the soil as well as it feeds the plants, and the earthworms love it.

Only problem is, there's never "enough."
