favorite evergreen groundcover

| What is your favorite evergreen groundcover? I am asking because I don't have one and I am looking for something to plant under my new Harry Lauder Walking Stick, which is primarily a winter interest shrub. I am considering variegated vinca (Illumination?) but hoping that it is not as invasive as its solid green cousin! Thanks and looking forward to hearing about your favorites.

| geranium macrorhizum. It is rampant, but very easy to pull out and start in other places. Smells good, too. |
