Two, and they're both tall. Lobelia cardinalis and 'Pineapple sage' - Salvia elegans. I enjoy the smell of the sage's leaves.

Maltese cross is a beautiful shade of red!

Maltese Cross, Scarlet O'Hara peony and several red
daylilies. I also love the red dragon wing begonia, cuz it is so floriferous and will grow anyplace and bloom outside all season and inside all off season. What can I say? It's just a bloomin' fool.

Today my favorite red perennials are red peonies (tree and herbaceous), Achillea 'Paprika' and Oriental Poppies (e.g. 'Brilliant'). In another month I'll have different favorites.

My Don Juan climbing rose, which blooms profusely with minimal upkeep. The blooms make great cut flowers, too.

Right now my favorite red perennial is the red flowered BeeBalm I got from the Spring MAG. I don't have the exact name of the variety, but I sure do like this particular bloom. The flowers are deep red, with a really nice fragrance. I also like my Mirandy rose. It has really deep, deep red blooms and is also nice and fragrant.

Maltese Cross is a new one to me . I like it!

Here are a couple photos I took of mine.

This one looks like it has yellow but it was just the way the light was reflecting this morning.

This photo was a few days ago:

It is a pretty shade.
