Surprise! Bonus Plants! What to do with them?

This past weekend I noticed the flower bed under our bird feeder was covered in a carpet of green. This area is heavily mulched and I was surprised to see this, then I figured out the uneaten seeds from the bird feeder were sprouting!

Has anyone ever experienced this? If you have, what do you do with the seedlings? Get rid of them, or let them grow to see what they are? Since it is a sunflower harvest mix, I suspect them to be sunflowers. Which would make quite a cycle. All the birds eating the seeds, some fall, new flowers form, birds eat the seeds, some seeds fall, sprout, etc...

Right now, I am leaving some of them, but the rest I easily pulled out just to see what the others do. It would be nice to have a nice little meadow-type garden the birds will enjoy.
