Favorite perrenial to plant with Hollyhocks

| I need to add something to my hollyhocks. They are all alone and look like they need a friend or 2. Is there something that goes well with these? |

| I have some medium height Pennisetums ( maybe Casian ) in front of my hollyhocks. They take over when the HH are looking sad. |
