SE FLORIDA BROWARD COUNTY ZONE 10
SUBJECT: SIDE YARD GARDEN
EXPOSURE: NORTH SIDE OF MY PROPERTY LINE
NEXT TO A WOODEN NEIGHBOR FRIENDLY FENCE
HAVE 4 FT SPACE ( BY 12 FT) MIXED IN HEDGE
OF ORANGE JASMINE, BOUGAINVILLEA, NEAR
WHITE OLEANDER HEDGE.

PROBLEM: WANT TO BLOCK OUT STREET TO BLOCK OUT
STREET LIGHT AND NIEGHBORS ROOFLINE.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION: TREES...EITHER JAPANESE PINE,
WINDMILL PALM, OR ??

ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEAS...???
I NEED TO BE SURE BOTTOM GROWTH
MINIMAL, YET WILL NOT BLOW OVER
IN HIGH WINDS. DROUGHT TOLERANT,
NICE LOOKING NEAR POOLS.

I suggest Photinia. Very fast growing, gets as tall as you want it, the new growth is a beautiful burgundy red, and it has fragrant flowers.
