Hose faucet extender

| This is for those of you who under the "Dumbest Place to Plant Something" thread complained about having to fight thorny bushes to get to the hose spigot. I bought one of those extenders for mine and it's great! My spigot was about 6 inches above ground and behind a shrub beneath a window. The extender is about 4-feet long with a spigot attached at one end and a hose thread on the other. It has a cutoff valve and a small spike to drive into the ground out in a spot away from the bushes. It works really well. Bought it through a garden supply catalog. |

| I second that -- we bought one of the longer ones (10') and set it up so I could have my watering hoses in a central point rather than an inconvenient hike up the back stairs. Next time I'll put more thought into where I want my backyard faucet, LOL! They're available through Jerry Baker's site, as well as Gardener's Supply, among many places. Definitely worth the cost for improved convenience. |
